How does a hub site work?
A hub site navigation bar will appear at the top of the site, but the home page and all site contents will remain the same. News published on a hub site and on any associated sites is automatically aggregated and shown on the home page of the hub site by using the News web part.
How do I make a hub site?
Create a hub site in the new SharePoint admin center
- Select the site, select Hub, and then select Register as hub site. Tip.
- Enter a display name for the hub site, and specify the individual users or security groups you want to allow to associate sites with the hub.
- Select Save.

Step 1: Register the Hub Site
- Go to the Office 365 Admin Center.
- Click SharePoint Admin Center.
- Click on Active Sites to see your site collections.
- Click on the check box next to the site you want to become the hub. Click Register as Hub Site from the Hub Site menu.
- Name your hub and then click Save.
