You can change a page’s Page Layout after you have logged in and are editing the page (click the Edit icon or click on the Site Actions dropdown menu and select Edit Page). In the ribbon, click on the Page tab and click the Page Layout dropdown. Select the layout you want and wait for the page to refresh.

The way to handle this in SharePoint is to use a custom page layout. A page layout allows you to define where the content resides on the page. When new content is created, it adheres to this layout, and any changes made to the layout are applied to existing content. It is essentially a template for your content.

Edit the page (Settings -> Edit Page). Then from the FORMAT TEXT click on Text Layout and then select the page layout which you want to change.
If you’re not in edit mode already, click Edit at the top right of the page. Hover your mouse below the title area of the page to the far left, or above or below an existing web part to the far left of the page, and you’ll see a line with a circled +, like this with a tool tip that says Add a new section.

- Click All Files in the Navigation area (on the left).
- Expand Lists, or your doc library.
- Right click on the list/library and click Properties.
- Click the content type that you want to set the default form for in the Content Types section.
