Does Ups Ship To Apo Ae?

Unlike mail sent to a street address or post office, APO/FPO addresses have “AA,” “AE” or “AP” listed in the state category. Although other shipping services, such as FedEx and UPS, send packages to other countries where military forces are concentrated, only the USPS is able to send an item to an APO or FPO.

Can you ship to APO with UPS?

Many of our suppliers use, either Federal Express or UPS for regular shipments but do not realize that UPS and Federal Express can also ship to the APO/FPO addresses. Each country has customs regulations that apply to all incoming mail.

How do I ship to APO AE?

How to Address APO and FPO Mail

  1. Write the full name of the service member and include their rank (i.e., CPT Bob Smith)
  2. Include their unit and assigned box number (i.e., Box 0402)
  3. Enter the appropriate military postal code in the area where you would typically write the city (i.e., APO/FPO)

Can UPS ship to a military base?

Due to security restrictions, the USPS is the only carrier that can deliver mail and packages to APO/FPO/DPO locations. While carriers such as FedEx and UPS offer delivery to countries where military personnel may be stationed, packages from these private carriers cannot be delivered directly to a military base.

Some apparel, baby, camera and photo, electronics, health and personal care, housewares, jewelry, software, sports, and tools and hardware items cannot be shipped to APO, FPO, or DPO addresses. If you enter an address and the item isn’t eligible to be shipped to that address, an error message will appear at checkout.

How much does it cost to ship to APO AE?

You only have to provide standard domestic postage on mail going to an APO or FPO addresses. If you pay $0.47 for a stamp to mail something within the continental United States, it only costs $0.47 to mail it overseas as long as you have an APO/FPO/DPO address and associated ZIP code.

What Cannot be shipped to APO?

Military Mail is the only way for a package to get mailed to an APO or FPO. UPS, FedEx and other shipping services aren’t able to send packages to this USPS offshoot. Packages sent by Military Mail must be less than 70 pounds and cannot include perishables, alcohol, firearms or explosive materials.
