- Right-click Folders (located within the left-hand folder list).
- Select Add shared folder.
- Enter the name or email address of the individual within the provided search field and select the correct result from the list.
- The account name of the individual will now be visible within the left-hand folder list.

Open the shared mailbox in a separate browser window
- Sign in to your account in Outlook on the web.
- On the Outlook on the web navigation bar, click your name. A list appears.
- Click Open another mailbox.
- Type the email address of the other mailbox that you want to open, and then click Open.
Open Computer Management and, on the left side of the window, browse “System Tools -> Shared Folders -> Shares.” The central panel from Computer Management loads the complete list of all the folders and partitions that are shared by your Windows computer or device.
Sign in to your primary account in Outlook for iOS or Android. Tap the Add Account button in the left navigation pane, then tap Add a Shared Mailbox. If you have multiple accounts in Outlook Mobile, select the account that has permissions to access the shared mailbox.
How do I open someone else’s folder in Outlook?
Open another person’s folders
- Click File > Open & Export > Other User’s Folder.
- In the Name box, enter the name of the person who granted you Sharing or Delegate Access permissions, or click Name to select from a list.
- In the Folder type list, click the folder that you want to open.
If your administrator has only recently provided you access to a shared mailbox, it may take a short time before the shared mailbox automatically appears in your Outlook profile. If the shared mailbox does not automatically display in Outlook, you may need to restart Outlook to see the shared mailbox.
Sign in to your account in Outlook Web App. Right-click your primary mailbox in the left navigation pane, and then choose Add shared folder. (Your name is on your primary mailbox.) Open Windows File Explorer, go to the Folders pane, and select Network. Select the computer that has the shared folders you want to browse. In older versions of Windows, open Entire Network and select Microsoft Windows Network to see shares.

- Now select Account Settings and then Account Settings again.
- Select the Email tab and then click on Change.

Creating a Shared Folder
- Open MS Outlook and select the folder that you want to share.
- After selecting the folder, right-click on it and select Properties.
