Share a page or notebook
- Select the page you want to share.
- Select Share.
- In the first drop-down, choose if you want to share This notebook [name of notebook] or This page [name of page].
- Enter the email address for who you want to share with.
- In the second drop-down, choose if recipients Can edit or Can view.

With OneNote for Windows 8, you can share a page in your notebook with other people.
- Open the page you want to share, and then tap its page tab on the left to select it.
- Swipe from the far right edge of the screen to the left, and then tap Share.
- Select the share target (for example, Mail).
You cannot share one section within your notebooks. However, you can share a notebook with others(For more information: Share a page of notes or an entire notebookfrom OneNote for Windows 10 ).

Share an existing notebook
- On the File menu, click Share.
- Under Select Notebook, select an existing notebook that you want to share with other people or between other computers that you will be using.
- Under Share On, choose where the notebook should be shared.
The easiest way to open a notebook shared on a network location is to use the Windows explorer. Navigate to the network folder containing the notebooks (those are folders, containing . ONE files) and double click on the open notebookonetoc2 file. This should open it in OneNote 2013.
You can generate a link to your notebook so others can view or edit it. If someone forwards the link to another person, they will also be able to see your notebook. Choose File > Share > Get a Sharing Link. Next to View Link or Edit Link, choose Create Link.
Select Class Notebook, then Add or remove students in the Class Notebook Wizard. Select the notebook you’re adding students to. Type in a student name, email address, or group name to add student(s) from your school.
You can only share an entire notebook.
- Tap theicon in the upper-right corner of the notebook you’d like to share.
- Tap Share.
- Choose whether to invite people or to copy the link to the notebook. Invite People to Notebook: Type names or email addresses, choose whether recipients can edit or view, and tap Send.
Can two people work on a OneNote document at the same time?

- On the right side, under SharePoint, click Browse.

- Type a meaningful, descriptive name into the Notebook Name box and then click Create.
