Why is an 80 an A in Canada?
It is standard that 90+ is some type of A, and 80–89.99 is some type of B. However, teachers are able to assign whatever grade scale they see fit. In classes with the new standards based 4 point grading, a percent as low as 80 can still be an A, because that makes sense in that class.
